How old are you? 

I am 35 years old 

Where were you born/where did you grow up?

Brasilia, Brazil. I lived there all my life until I moved to NYC in 2013.

Why do you choose to live a healthy lifestyle? What are the keys to success and the struggles that you encounter?

I chose to live a healthy lifestyle,  because I want to live long and be healthy and capable throughout. And because it makes me feel strong and confident. The keys to success are discipline and honesty. I have to be honest with myself at all times and maintain discipline in my habits. Of course it isn’t always easy, but it’s the straightest path to my goals and so far it has paid off. My greatest struggles have been with avoiding the temptation of cheat meals and sacrificing some nights of partying in favor of training, eating and resting well.

What was the best advice you’ve ever been given?  

To follow through with my dreams even if I feel afraid. To not allow fear to prevent me from trying to accomplish my dreams.

In your experiences what have you learned that has made the biggest positive change in your life?

To have greater faith in my potential and believe in myself

What advice do you want to give others who want to make changes in their life and fitness journey?

The best advice I can give is to not procrastinate on chasing your dreams and making the necessary changes to yourself. Don’t cheat yourself by leaving things for later, just go and work towards your goals.

What motivates you to be the fittest woman on earth?

To witness my own growth and evolution and to form bonds within the CrossFit community.

What's Your Favorite WOD? And How Has CrossFit Impacted Your Life? 

My favorite WOD is Murph. CrossFit has made me become more resilient and determined.

What advice do you have for beginners?

For your own safety and longevity, be ruthless in developing your technique before pursuing lifting heavy loads and working out intensely and at your limits.
